Time to blog again !!!

It had been long long long long long long long .....................time .. since the last update :P

It was like a roller coaster.... up up...then suddenly down all the way... but tat is life right? What we need to do is to let the feeling go through us ( but pls dun dwell on it ) and move on...

Sometimes a short getaway will helps u to relax ...

Hmmm.. for this year leh.. i had went to Batam for a spa treat ... of cos more to come in May and June 2011...Looking forward leh .. will be Bintan, Genting and Bangkok and many many more ...  shall blog on the travel trip when times come!

F.R.I.E.N.D

How do you define "Friend" ?
-Someone that you can trust ?
-Someone that understanding you ?
-Someone that you can spend time with ?
-Someone that you willing to pour your heart out and lend a listening hear ?

Everyone got a different definition on it.
For me, at times "Friend" is very clear but at times it does not seem to exist at all. Am I taking "Friend" for granted or the other way round.. I also not sure...

Who are the one around you that you regard as "Friend" or in this society now, what are the things you regards as "Friend ". WHAT instead of WHO is being used.

WHAT = money , house, car etc... at times when you have all these, it seem that people will automatic attract to you and suddenly become your "friend". ..well it is just my personal observation. True or not , I don't think there is a need to argue as this is a belief that I have and I no need anyone to agree or disagree with this belief of mine. But I do truly believe that I have people around me that I do regard them as "Friend" in my own definition. :)  [ i always said colleagues and friends are different. For those who know me, will know my definition between these two and I mean it :P ]

When the someone become your "Friend" , your expectation towards this person will change. You start to expect a bit more of this "friend"'s attention, time , understanding, care and much much more and I suppose the verse versa happen if the other party regard you as "Friend". At this point of time, when expectation is not being met, arguments and unhappiness may arise. This is where the friendship will come to a test.

A test that if both of you can resolve and score a Pass to it , this is where the friendship can last longer and more tolerance level can be obtained. If the test ends with the negative result , this friendship might be gone forever. The way you resolve the issue is really very much depending on how much do you care about the friendship. If this friendship matters to you , most of the time you will try ways and means to solve it.

For the fact, everyone will die one day, just that you don't know when this day will come. Is there really someone that you regard as "Friend" and also is it worth that you take your "Friend" for granted and  letgo of them easily ?

酒窝的传说

传说酒窝的来历是这样的：
      
  相传人死后，过了鬼门关便上了黄泉路，路上盛开着只见花,不见叶的彼岸花。花叶生生两不见,相念相惜永相失,路尽头有一条河叫忘川河，河上有一座奈何桥。 有个叫孟婆的女人守候在那里，给每个经过的路人递上一碗孟婆汤，凡是喝过孟婆汤的人就会忘却今生今世所有的牵绊，了无牵挂地进入六道，或为仙，或为人，或 为畜。 ­
       
孟婆汤又称忘情水，一喝便忘前世今生。一生爱恨情仇，一世浮沉得失，都随这碗孟婆汤遗忘得干干净净。今生牵挂之人，今生痛恨之人，来生都相见不识。
        
可是有那么一部分人因为种种原因，不愿意喝下孟婆汤，孟婆没办法只好答应他们。但在这些人身上做了记号，这个记号就是在脸上留下了酒窝。这样的人，必须跳 入忘川河，受水淹火炙的磨折等上千年才能轮回，转世之后会带着前世的记忆、带着那个酒窝寻找前世的恋人。
        
所以朋友们请珍惜身边脸上有酒窝的那个人，无论是亲人、朋友，因为他（她）也许是你前世的恋人，经过千年等待来寻找前世情缘未了的人，去完成前世未了的心愿，请永远不要去伤害他（她），因为不是谁都有勇气跳入忘川河，等上千年煎熬之苦。

Does everyone has a secret or even secrets?
Secret is meant to be kept inside within yourself? Once you had told someone about your "secret" , is that consider "secret: anymore? 

Well. i believe each and everyone do have some secrets..whether it meant to be told or not, you choose it.

Today , I had  a new definition for the word SECRET as my friend had shared  "The Secret" DVD with me. A lot of things to ponder after watching the DVD..not the negative side but on the positive side. I started to believe "Law of attraction".

What you think ( thoughts ) is what you attract. When you think positively, your results will be positive ..of cos vice versa....

We always think of what we don't want, the more we think of it, the more "don't want" seem to be coming along ...queuing up and waiting for us....the universe is acting of our "wishes" of "don't want" and our "wishes" come true... so in this case, if we think of our "WANT wish" and the "WANT wish" will come true....is it true ? Do a self - reflection everyday and you will be able to see the results.
(Disclaimer: not just sit there and wish what you want and it will come true...tat is daydream yo! of cos ...Effort is needed ya...)

I must constantly reminding myself to  believe that I can attract the results I want ..and of cos when the down time or negative feeling is here, I will feel it( not going to suppress nor blow it..try hor.. :p)forget it...and move on....

No matter what is it , I am going to start to believe this new secret of mine which is the using the "Law of Attraction"  in my life now..How and where I will use it my life leh....shh... S.E.C.R.E.T.S! hehehe...

REDANG Trip 2010 - Sun, Beach and Sand.

WOW........after so many years of watching the movie 《夏日么么茶》，i finally had the chance to step into Pulau Redang, the place where you find beautiful and clear beaches.

Day 1: :

Gather at Newton ( where my office is) @6am and we started to sit on the coach to set off to Terengganu. We dropped off at JB for a quick breakfast and this was where we started our long , long , long , long bus journey..............................................in between break for lunch............... and some toilet breaks.....................and then at 7pm ..

YES！7PM, we finally reached the famous CRYSTAL MOSQUE at Terengganu. That is about 12 hrs of bus ride yo! So we got our camera ready and got as many shots as possible as we took such a bus ride to be here to see this special mosque. NEXT, we head for our DINNER!!!!

Guess what? While we were about to finish our dinner , we got a news that our coach's tyres was punctured!!! WHAT!!!!! We need to stuck at there...supposed to go to Chinatown and have a look but it was gone. Waited for abt 1 hrs or so, we had another coach to bring us back to hotel. We reached Sutra Beach hotel  at 11pm.

Day 2 : :
It was a fun day as it was a snorkeling day and be able to see beautiful beaches. I was a non-swimmer and feel excited for the snorkeling but at the same time feel scare too. Nevertheless, I still get myself ready for the snorkeling. Most important thing : APPLY SUN BLOCK FROM FACE TO TOES. hahaha.. my group really was a group that once we got chance, we would start applying sunblock...it was such a funny scene where u see abt 15 people applying the sunblock at the same time.

We reached the 1st snorkeling beach. Get ready our life jacket and the snorkel gear and here we go! I don't really dare to swim towards to the deeper part ( but there is where you can see more fishes and corals lor...) so i hesitate a bit..but with my help of my friend, Nicky, I tried to swim over and finally reached there). The 1st snorkeling place is for me to prepare myself more than enjoying. On the way back to the shore, need the help of my manager , Weiye and Mike to drag me back..hahahaha....

After lunch, we moved on to the 2nd snorkeling beach. This one was much more nicer and we able to see the fishes on the shore even without the need to swim to the deeper side. But still....do you think my friends will satisfied with just seeing the fish on the shore?NO!!! This time round, Weiye do not allow anyone to help me and wanted me to swim to the deeper part by myself... so i pushed, kicked, struggled and get myself there...hahaha...finally I reached there! ( still i got some help from Nicky and Nancy..cos we three are the best and brave non-swimmer that cannot swim but still want to swim there...hahaha.. WE MADE IT !!) The underwater world of course was much more beautiful than on the shore :  )  Luckily , Dai jie got a camera that can be taken in the water, so she had helped us to capture a lot of nice photos.

The sad part is that we didnt mangae to stay in Redang itself ..so next time shall go again and stay there...when is it ? I do not know..but I only know that the next time I go , I think I will choose to take a plane than coach.

DAY 3 & 4 : :
Again most of the time spent was on the coach as we are heading to KL. In between we stopped over at Kuantan to buy some local products. Supposedly  , there was only one of our friends wanted to buy salted fish ..but in the end...all of us were with a bag of local products...hehehe..no choice...sit on the coach too long..if didnt buy anything back..feel sorry for ourselves...hahahaha..

Once we reached KL, we wasted no time and go for shopping!!! The happiest stuff I bought for myself was 2 pair of slippers...cheap and good yo...hahahaha...

The stay in KL for me was always short and rushing...Hope that the next time I go KL is long enough for me to enjoy...

Overall , it was a fun trip. This trip I got to know better of the agents from other agencies. Usually in the office, hardly had a chance to speak to them , other than friends from my agency and only get to know them through their names. This time round, we had laughter and chit chat along the whole journey so I feel much more closer with them and of cos also with Nicky and Weiye.

Thank you everyone for making this trip so fun and enjoyable ! =) 

Looking forward for the next trip , be it is with my own agency or with other agencies . But I do wish for one that is from our very own OWY Team as it had been long since we go for tour as a group!

KRABI shall be the next destination ! =)

Stress and Support

The month of June is a month that the "lion" is chasing after me. I was very stress and I choose this path rather than give it up or the back door that I had which may be a easier path for me.Gastric pain and headache are with me almost every day. Medicine is not the weapon that I used for these two enemies. Music is my weapon that helped me to conquer them. :)

When I choose to fight the "lion", I faced lot of obstacles in my way. I do have the thought of giving up, but based on result, I do not want to give up. Over these weeks, I do appreciate one friend that always supporting me along the way when I was down. Of course, there are also a few friends along the way...

The support from them is good enough for me to hang on, hold on and fight on!!. Time is running short for me and I am still facing obstacles. I have yet to win the "lion", but I am still fighting with "it"...

Please bless me with the luck and energy to win the "lion" and create miracle for myself.

天下无不散的宴席

In life , we always heard of this Chinese saying "天下无不散的宴席".

But when it really happen to you, how would you actually feel?

Last Sunday , it was the April Tenrikyo Monthly Service. Things were as usual but when the Principal announced that there were be two sensei going back to Japan this August ( Morimoto Sensei and Kawabata Sensei), suddenly feel very sad about it. Although every year we will be expecting old sensei leaving and new sensei coming but when the date is drawing nearer, the feeling is very different.

This time round , is even more sad . :( These two sensei were close to us, especially Kawabata Sensei. He brought a lot of "pop" stuff to the events that we had traditionally.  The most unforgettable event would be the year end party because we got the "Tenrikyo Got Talent 2009" !! This was the most enjoyable event we ever had and of cos there is another one.............hehehehe..Like I mentioned before, I really feel that I had choose the right timing to come back and study and Level 4, if not I would had missed out a lot of fun and laughter ! No regrets !! :)

No matter what I do wish these two sensei all the very best when they are back in Japan and continuing to bring joy and love wherever they go.  At present now, we shall treasure the precious moments that we have with them before they go back to Japan.

Next event to look forward will be Hinokishin Day.

Family Trip & Run Round Singapore 2010

Just back from a family trip from Genting Highlands, although it wasn't the first time that we went there but it had been 2 years plus since we went out together as a family.

This trip we seem to be very busy. First time going to the Chin Swee Temple to have vegeterian food and walked round the temple...it was quite big but too bad it rained and I didn't have the chance to visit the whole temple..残念ですね。。

The most exciting part was to go to the Genting Strawberry Farm. I like strawberry a lot but I had never seen how strawberry plant looks like..seem like a "mountain tortoise" ..hahaha.. but is really a cooling place to grow the strawberry =)

Straight after I came back from Genting, I did not sleep and went straight for the Run Round Singapore 2010. This is the first time on duty for such an event. I was really impressed by those runners that they actually finished the whole 218km within 36 hrs without sleep. I was only on duty for 18 hrs..i almost maxed out...But it was really fun..if next time , there is such an event, i will go for it again...

Next to look forward will be my REDANG TRIP in JUNE ! Yeah !

14th of every month (Korea)

Yesterday, Kawabata Sensei shared something interesting to us during the class. He was telling us about the culture in Japan during Valentines Day.

In the past, the girls were made chocolate for the guys that they were fancied for only.. But now, there is some changes, the girls will now give chocolates to almost all the guys they know...cheap and simple chocolate for male colleagues , brothers , guy friends etc.. hahaha..and for the one that they like, of cos will be either handmade or expensive and nicely wrapped chocolate.

Then on 14th of March- White Day, those guys whom did receive chocolate from the girls will need to return a gift. In the past, is only candy or marshmallow, but now there is more range like accessories, handbags etc. But i believe for the girls that they are not fancy for, should be only candy or marshmallow..and whereas for those girls that they fancy for should be more expensive gifts. Another way of expression their heart to the girl.

But The most interesting part is when he shared that in Korea, 14th of every month is special days for either those madly, deeply in love or for those poor singles...

Chinese New Year is coming....

This year don't know why I do feel stress in my work ..I started to care about whether do I have sales or not..unlike the past, during this period of time , I just relax one concern. I really believe that this is a lucrative business to be in but how come I always seem to stuck in the rat race..( what am i pretending not to know) hehehe..

neverthless this year there is a lot of external pressure...everyone is stressing one another...maybe is a good motivation afterall..

Tiger year coming , of cos there is new goal for myself too. Whatever it is, I just want to be different this year. This year got too many wish list to fulfill....before my wish list can be fulfill..there is one more important thing I need to do 1st.....Ganbatte !!!

Authentic 2010

今日はとても楽しかったですね。はじめで甘いお酒を飲んたや、もちを作った。
Drinking sweet sake is for the blessing of sweet year ahead. Lunch was served with some of the authentic Japanese food. おいしいですね！
Pounding of mochi was so fun but was tiring...need a lot of strength. The mochi just taste so nice..don't know is it involve in  the pounding and rolling or is it because of 川端先生の汗。。hahaha...

After the party , I went to meet up with Nicky and Judy for some authentic India food. The restaurant was clean with nice ambiance. We had lot of laughter there. A lot of "authentic" conversation too..We brought our "country pumpkin" -Mr Nicky Goh to Mustafa Centre to shop too..

We went to  Harry's pub ( which I don't fancy at all ) for a chill out drink after the dinner. Tim joined us for the drink too. We chatted, laughed and made fun of one another. Great time !

The night was ended with our dear "country pumpkin" took the wrong bus. It was so funny that I can't stop laughing. He wanted to take N3 home but when he saw NR 3 , he just simply and happily hoped onto it. I didn't realized was the wrong bus until Tim said out that it was different. Luckily we managed to ask him to get down on time and changed to another bus number. But because of this , we also learned that N3 is by SBS and NR 3 is by Transit co and they go different places. So next time when you want to take night rider home, please open up your eyes big and don't just hope to the bus because of the number, the alphabet "N" and "NR"  ( the difference of the "R") makes a difference!

Tenrikyo Got Talent 2009 - Singapore

25th Dec 2009 - Christmas Day

Finally was the day for the year-end party by Tenrikyo Misssion Centre ( Singapore). Every year, they do have year -end party on 25 th Dec, but this year was a bit different. They had a special program called "Tenrikyo Got Talent". This program was suggested by the GTK( Great Teacher Kawabata) aka Kawabata Sensei aka Pop Star Kawabata..but now had promoted to Super Star Kawabata!!

We had 10 groups of people joining this event. Some of them sang japanese songs, some of them danced and for me I was the balloon princess..hahahah...I was doing the balloon sculpturing. I must thank Jessie chan for helping me to put on the make-up. It was hard on her cos my eyes were quite challenging for her. :P

The practise was hard as the balloon kept bursting and also the fingers can be quite painful after the whole day of practising. Nevertheless, the effort was being paid off when I saw the smiles of the people when they looked at my kawaii balloons..

This TGT had attracted 130 people attending the year-end party at Watten Estate!!! We rocks !!!!

This was a good memory for all the audiences, the performancers and also for our 3 dear Japanese sensei tachi. This made their 2 years stay in Singapore an unforgettable event when they go back to Japan. Will miss them a lot when they go back to Japan . Next event to look forward is the Children party on New Year Day. Sweet sake is to be drank on that day for  good blessing for the new year 2010 ahead!

Christmas 2009

8 more days to christmas day and also to our very first "Tenrikyo Got Talent 2009 - Singapore".


Christmas to me is like a romantic holiday.
My dream is to have a White Christmas with my 恋人..but when will this dream be fulfilled???? I also dont know..hope that I won't  need to wait too long..hehehe...

Although there is no  恋人 this year...but I have my "Tenrikyo Got Talent 2009 - Singapore". Something that I am looking forward to it ...should have a lot of fun and laughter. I feel that one of the happiest thing for me in year 2009 was to go back to study my Japanese. As I went back, I knew new friends and of course I got a wonderful and funny Japanese teacher who always will praised him everywhere , anywhere and anytime..hahahaha..

Happening week.

The week was filled of laughter and fun with the celebrating of our Japanese November Babies - 森本先生　と　川端先生.

They had a lot of cake for the whole week...maybe it was the first experience of  having the most cake eaten ever in the whole week..hahaha.. but this also showed their popularity among the students.

Of course, as usually I made two lovely cards for these two lovely  先生。Spent quite some time choosing the individual present for them as it wasn't an easy task, especially for 川端先生. I knew he likes to perform magic so went to do some research over the net and also went to The Magic Hall and stared for almost 2 hrs plus before deciding on which magic tool to buy for him. Finally bought him something "WOW" and hope he can be able to master the magic.

As for 森本先生, went around shopping here n there and finally found one very lovely necklace that she can used it for accessories.

Everything was worth when I saw the smiles on them when they received the cards and the presents. We had great time at the Hong Kong Cafe at Marina Square on thur ( 12th November ) which was the exact day of  川端先生 birthday. Followed by a BBQ on the sat to celebrate again for 川端先生 and also for 森本先生 as her birthday was on the 15th November.

Although I lost the opportunity of staffing which some of you know what it means , but I found another door of happiness which I never thought that it could be so fun. So when a door closed in your life, there will sure be another one for you to open but is just whether you want to take the risk to open and see what is there for you.

On sunday, I also met up with some of my LP 79 friends. Seeing them made me feel so happy. Met up with Pin and Verdy for a ice cream session at Bugis first before going for the porridge buffet. The ice cream wasn't that nice :( . Next met up with Rebecca, Ivan, Fiona and Bryan for  the porridge buffet, also not nice..that made me even more sad :( :(
Apart from all the "not nice" food, I enjoyed myself with them. It had been quite some time I had last seen them.

I had a fulfilling week by enjoying with the people around me, appreciating the friendship that had been built, building new friendship around me etc..

ok..time for some beauty sleep and go to work tomorrow...

HTC Tattoo

Thinking of getting myself a new hand phone as my Nokia hand phone is not functioning that well ...old already...but still usable =) 

Was browsing through the Internet and see what new hand phones are up in the market and came across "HTC Tattoo". From there, found out that it uses  Android platform which happens to be quite an IN THING now which I don't seem to have any clue on it at all !!!!

Still considering whether is it worth for me to get one or not although it is not that expensive considering it is a PDA phone.. but I do not wish to get a hand phone and end up I only  call or sms ..just because I do not know how to use the phone function and the money is paid for. Sound stupid isn't it??? ( although I do admit that  I am quite an  IT-idiot..hahaha )

Morning Madness

RRing........5 am in the morning , my alarm clock rang...It was time for me to wake up.
I had promised Nicky to do prospecting with him at 6.30am at Joo Keng which in my life of my career, I had never do this before.

To my surprised that the MRT at 6am was almost full. People had started working at this hour whereas a lot of us were still sleeping ( I am one of them lor :P) We didn't get any leads but we wont give up so easily. We will continuing doing it.

Afternoon, went for my haircut and were discussing about insurance with my hairstylist. He was my new hairstylist anyway. During the conversation then I realized that he got a premium of $1600 per mth for his insurance coverage. He was a true believer of insurance. Not only that, he is a freelance hairstylist. For every haircut he do , he only charged $10. Yet he can pay the premium every mth and also give himself a good life.

I started to do a reflection on myself .
"Hello Cindy Tan , what are you doing and what do you want. People out there earning $10 per haircut can make it. What about you? What it takes from you to make it happen for yourself ?

sleepless nights....

I had not been sleeping well since last week...almost only able to fall asleep about 4-5am...too stress ?? I also don't know...

Yesterday I only slept for two hours...but I wasn't feeling tired at all...Is this normal? or I am once again get into my insomia.

Last quarter of the year is here and things have and need to be done. For the past 3 quarters , I am in a confusion state..but it doesnt seem any better now anyway :(

But last Friday, I was happy for Verdy because his company We! Interactive had officially opened. Though office space was not up to his expectation but like what he said is not how big or nice the office is, but how much can he make out of it.
So Verdy, 頑張ってください.

I think I need to sleep to think well.....zzzZZZZ

hmm......
Went to see doctor after on n off of suffering of sore throat, blocked nose and fever etc for a week or so....
Who knows I need to go through one blood test and one more test ( test for H1N1, which the doctor had inserted a fine tube into your nose for a few seconds...not painful , but uncomfortable ) This test will be sent to MOH, so if i that "heng" and received call from MOH then i need to stay at home even longer. PLEASE DON'T!!

Blood test result showed that my white blood cells were lower than normal, which means that I already have another bacteria infection on top of being suspected of H1N1. haiz.... :(

Doctor had given me 5 days of mc to ask me to rest at home. Let me think when was the last time I was given 5 days mc? hmm..that should be 7 or 8 years ago when I was having my wisdom tooth operation...hahaha..

So these few days , I would be staying at home...drinking lot of water and rest well.......... this is how i spend my long weekend  :'(
